He doesnt play with Scheifele because he would drag him down. Ovi can still drive play and does ok in possession unlike Laine who is below replacement in almost every aspect of the game.

He doesn’t play with scheifele because wheeler does. Simple as that. Before the wheeler-scheifele duo was a thing in laine’s first season, he did play with scheifele (and played well as a matter of fact. You don’t split one of the best duo’s in the league to get 1 player a c who he has chemistry with (especially if that player produces regardless - albeit at a reduced rate)

COL who's Clearly a playoff team is looking at a 25th-31st overall pick most likely
MTL is trading Lehkonen and a 3rd to move up 15 spots in the draft

Lehkonens a 23 year old who's coming off a career high and a great player for a COL team who was **** defensively last year despite all their overwhelmiing offense. Kerfoot was the stand out defensively and COL PK Unit becomes actually dangerous instead of 25th/31 teams and a joke

Sampo Ranta's a project player who is in the NCAA and like Butcher could walk for nothing when he's done . There's no chance in him making any NHL roster for 2-3 years as he's got a ways to go on his skating to be able to play in the NHL and in the end might never be good enough . is comparable to Jake Evans and his journey through NCAA
