Friedman says Tampa and Canes have been flirting with Oilers for PoolParty

Explications
Friedman: "And I think Carolina is willing to give them one of their prospects, maybe a guy like Gauthier, but is not so interested in giving the pick. I think Tampa Bay, they've flirted with back and forth, they kinda know which Tampa prospect they might be able to get, but again I think it's a combination of finding the two things that they want: pick + prospect"

Now the problem would be: Verhaeghe has to either be on the team or be traded (as he has to go through waivers to be sent down)... and I doubt we'd keep the leading AHL scorer as 13th. Who gets moved?

Well the paper fit is there .
6'4" over 200 lbs .. #4 overall pick .. nordic background etc. Etc.. but of course hasn't proved he top 6 winger like his "potential" (Sergachev dig ..lol)

But say give Oilers Joseph and a Cruncher .. or Cruncher and Rutta? .. worth a flyer like Shatterkirk

Witkowski can go down to minors. Trade Paquette to Oilers with Joseph instead of Katchouk. Move Gourde up to Stamkos line and get his points up to trade him high on next offseason. Move Verhaghe to Paquette's spot on 4th line for now. And open up roster spot for the next best prospect. Done.

Personally I think that Pool Party would be able to thrive here in Tampa, so I like the idea of getting him. But it's still a gamble.
The price is prospect + pick. So it won't be Rutta (can't we just shoot him on the sun for a 6th rounder? lol We already got our 7 Dmen for the season).

My guess would be that it's one of Katchouk, Raddysh or Verhaeghe + a mid pick (if it's Katchouk a 3rd, if Raddysh or Verhaeghe a 4th).
We'll see.

Please god no. The last thing Tampa ******* needs is someone to gift wrap them a former 4th overall pick that completely rejuvenates his career due to being placed in incredible environment to succeed.

In fact, the badly run teams need to stop doing business with Tampa altogether. Stop making the already All Star team even better please and thank you. awesome face

Sincerely,
The Eastern Conference.

What''s wrong with creating an All-Star team in the NHL, when it never happend in the hard cap era? In NBA every years = it kinda does. Look at Cleveland or Golden State or Miami couple years ago.

Need to get that 70-win regular season y'all know it deep inside your heart! Winking with Tongue Out smirk

Pulju in tampa, yes please, i like giving up Katchouk, that was my idea too.Keep Raddysh,Vergheaghe,BB happy If Edm takes Martel, even better! (we might add a draft pick then)

No gamble! I'm dead serious, poor man's Gusev = Guaranteed 40+ points season.
The problem was for him in Edmonton = too much pressure, they wanted him to be the next superstar who makes edmonton a consistent playoff team.
But what if he just needs to be freedom in a team, who are already top tier = no pressure = guaranteed success, cause it looks like from his draft position = he has more than enough skill to play for us!
And i like that he is 6"4 and 200lbs+. We need those guys for the playoff, we could limit his playtime reg season, so a fresh big body should help a lot with teams like Washington.
Hopefully we don't lose vs them next year. I can't see us losing to any other team on the east(unless huge upset like this year), with how crazy the offseason went for us.... and still more to come...awesome face

Carolina Hurricanes would be a good fit for Pulju btw with Aho+Ter+Haula, i think that team would be the perfect for him. But if canes don't want to give up picks, we should. It's probably(95%+) a late pick whatever we give up, so no big deal...
