True, but wasn't that supposed to be the point of last year's contract w/ STL? If he can't get a multi year contract now after winning the Cup he's never getting one.

Be interesting if Shattenkirk does well, and Tampa is able to sign him cheap next year for let's say 4m....and Rangers have a 6m cap hit for Shattenkirk.

Impossible to even think about it. We'll have to re-sign Cirelli, Cernak, Sergachev and eventually Joseph too + Vas contract will kick in. We'll be VERY tight on cap space just by re-signing 2 to 3 of our RFAs
