Think Trouba has opened the floodgate on RFA Dmen getting overpaid. Trouba at 8m makes him the 5th highest paid Dman in the league. Now I know he's young and has growth potential but geez seems like an overpay to me. So imagine what McAvoy and Pronovov are thinking.

Trouba isn't really the best comparable for Provorov in terms of age, UFA years bought, etc. He definitely has/had more leverage than Provy does. However, with the rumor that Provy is asking for 10 million when Trouba only got 8 makes me think something isn't right here. There's no way that Provy should get more than Trouba in any deal, and if he's asking for that he's out of his mind.
