Complete delusional Wild fan. I am sorry, but this is what has been wrong with your GMs too. Giving up on people too early/not understanding what developing is. You said "Wahlstrom isn't the prospect he was last year." Are you kidding me?! I am a Leafs fan, but you think Zucker can get a grade A prospect in return for ONE not spectacular year? Oliver Wahlstrom is 19 years old, an 11th overall pick just 14 months ago, and has played a **** ton of hockey in the past few years. If you think he's the same value as a 27 year old Zucker, you're sadly (and badly) mistaken. One of the worst takes & armchair-gm's I've ever seen..

Thanks for the criticism (sincerely). I haven't posted in a while and admittedly have lost a gauge on value.

Eh..
Some people are being overly critical. What did JT Miller fetch for NYR? I think something similar is fair...perhaps a pick more.

Tampa imo is not a good trading partner based on the contract situations for next season and not being able to take on more salary because of that.

In hindsight the value on some of these isn't great, but people are acting like I proposed Zucker for McDavid 1 for 1, lol. Good call on the Tampa situation, the Wild would have to take one of their bigger contracts in a trade with them.

Tampa says hell no. No way we trade Sergachev (21 y/o, 40 points season under his belt already, can play both left and right and will cost less than Spurg for a couple more years) for a D rental (that will ask 7+M next offseason ) + a c prospect.

Miller didn't fetch much for the Rangers, McDonagh did. Miller was basically traded one for one for Namestnikov.

Okay...McDonagh is a D (D's usually fetch more especially RHD) and Zucker is a winger...oh..in case you forgot so is Miller.
Bad comparison.

Anyway if Wild want more value for Spurgeon then trading him right now needs to happen. Spurgeon for an entire season brings more value imo than a TDL deal.
Think of what the Kings got for Muzzin in mid January. Spurgeon would get the Wild something similar to that in that point of the season.

Edit: I meant to originally compare Zucker to Miller but did an extremely poor job of doing that. Zucker could fetch slightly more but not too much more.

Anyway my bad, sorry.
