Good value for Chicago. This deal is an underpay without the retained salary. NJ would want at least another 1st to eat that $3 million. A more likely scenario would be to find a 3rd team to take a contract.

Without Zach Smith involved, I think it's a fair deal for both sides as Hall is a UFA rental and will 100% go to the open market after the season. That said, don't think the Hawks should be giving up Barratt and Beaudin for a 1 year rental, especially Beaudin...that kid is going to be a top 4 player on a ELC.

For the naysayers here, if Hall was an RFA or 2 years remaining as a UFA then it's a bad deal for Jersey but he's a 1year rental and presumably this is a TDL deal.
