I don't think Avs have any fear playing a rookie in an expanded role, look at what they did with Makar in the playoffs giving him Top minutes in the 2nd round. Kaut could easily just be thrown into the regular roster at the TDL and they call it a day as well.

not with a 1st, Bowers and a 2nd is probably the max I would go. They wont re-sign him bc they are managing their cap space very carefully to ensure they keep all their own guys. So no way would they move a Top prospect and a 1st for a pure rental
