Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

This is a trade where bruins fans will tell me I overpaid and every other fan base will say Nashville declines. Here’s my thought process:

Bruins gain a bit of leverage in a backes-turris swap, same cap hit and similar production but backes has far less term.

As for arvidsson, bruins would have to open the flood gates. 30 goal 60 point scorers locked up for 4.2 are super rare, so it would take a ton. If Nashville fans think it would take more then I totally get that

I wouldn’t be mad if this happened because the team will be that much stronger for a cup push but it does suck losing a good prospect in vaakanainen

Exactly, if they could win within 2 years of this trade (2 years is probably how much longer the core has) then it would totally be worth it. If not then it would kinda suck losing all those guys but arvidsson would be a huge long term boost for the top 6

Long term probably but that that’s not the point, this would greatly increase their chance of winning with this core before they have to rebuild

Are you saying that if Backes and Turris were removed, Boston would have to add even more?

I get that Arvidsson is a great player on a great contract, but that still seems like the Bruins are giving up a lot.
