Description

Does this trade intrigue any VGK fans?
Blues need a top-6 winger upgrade as well as a good LD prospect. Knights get a short-term upgrade in Schenn and won't have to pay Smith $5M to play on the 3rd line in the coming years. Edmundson will bring some grit to the 2nd/3rd pairing as well. Also shed some cap by including Reaves. Blais is a good prospect that couldn't find a good roster spot with the Blues' forward depth last year. Can swap him for a pick if no interest there.

Which part's so bad for them?
I started with Hague and a 2nd for a retained Schenn, throw Reaves in as a cap dump.
Then I figured Blues could use a top-6 winger and VGK needs a defenseman. Edmundson, Blais, and a 2nd (picks cancel out between the two deals) for Smith.

My opinion is irrelevant to this conversation. I was simply commenting that your statement simply revealed limited illumination on the value of two Blues hockey players. "Bums" tend not to have any value, and neither of the guys you called bums fit that mold.
