I'll have to defend Marincin somewhat for that Washington series. He was playing OK till an injury in January. Then he only played in one game since mid January till mid April when he replaced the injured Polak. Hard for any player to be up to playoff speed, the playing just one game in three months. Maybe just maybe he will do "OK" if he gets regular minutes.

This is a killjoy lineup and probably really close to what we get.

My beef with giving Babcock options is that he's likely to pick the ugliest one.. with all the possible lineup possibilities we could very well end up with a Marmar/Harpur combo

I have a really weird soft spot for him. Lol. He's really not very good but he is a great penalty killer. If he could just not make stupid decisions with the puck and play it safe all the time, he's probably be a half decent #6 defenceman who kills penalties but he just can't seem to stop himself from making blindingly stupid decisions way too often.

I think Marincin's biggest challenge is because he's so tall he looks like a giraffe skating on the ice. His fancy stats are good though. The ole eye test vs stats conundrum with fans picking a side and Babs saying he knows where to stand. Gud pro.
