Description

Zucc shouldn't have been signed. He waives for the Rangers. In return, MN gets a decent young player and takes two cap dumps to get NY out of their cap issues.
OTT takes Rask and gets a Fenton 1st rd pick.
Waddell's conscious finally compels him to right the wrong he did last January. MN gets the possible future #1C they've needed since 2001 (I know this trade isn't happening).
Fenton's golden-boy goes to EDM to play with Connor or Leon. (Can't see this happening either)

Once Fenton made the Rask for Niederreiter trade and the Wild were officially eliminated from the playoffs, management should have pulled the trigger then (i.e., even before the end of the season). The draft could have been run by the scouting staff, by consensus.

New gm should have a 6 year plan minimum for when parise and suter get off the books, so handcuffed. Possibly trade anything and everything for draftpicks and guys with 3 years left on elcs. To avoid expansion draft trouble, possibly make it a benefit with draftpicks and protection spots to use

Only way rangers make that trade is if Wild retain about 2 mil on Zucc's contract. Also, some draft picks too, bc Buchnevich is young and still has growth potential
