They dumped Panarin for Saad because they were afraid they wouldn't be able to re-sign him too.

In the real world, the cap is cruel. A team can't keep all their good/great players. Especially with a relatively flat cap for a few seasons here and there. I'd have loved for the Blackhawks to have traded away Soupy after the 2010 and maybe keep Byfuglien & Ladd. Such was not the case. And they still won two more Cups anyway.

That was NOT Stan's fault. If the Hawks would have been able to diagnose Bicks he could have been placed on LTIR. That being said its a tragic story. If Bicks never would have been ill he could have lived up to that contract.
