Nobody wins when it gets to an arbitrator. You get to sit across from each other and point why you do or don't deserve a raise. Sours relationships I would imagine. I think 1.5 mil is a little low for Copp though. In this case I think down the middle decision, roughly 2.2 would be fair for both sides.

I think they will only get 1, would love to get a 2 year deal. I cant recall hearing of any multi year deals being awarded.

If you compare Copp stats of points and +/- you should see he will get around 3-3.5M.

Recent signings of Compher, Vrana and Burakovsky all got 3.25-3.5M short term. Copp has beter stats, He should be pushing to 3.5 3yrs. Winnipeg would probably go 3.25M for 4yrs.
Anything less of 3 he will go for arbitrator and still get what he wants.
