At the time it was fairly good value for Eller. 2 2nds for a 3rd line C that was just entering his prime. Capitals had the depth to support him. Montreal got 2 picks that our drafting & developing team failed with. Caps won, but without hindsight it was fair value wise.

rodrigue pick turned into samuel houde pick and jordan harris pick so its not terrible (harris for eller)
