Hes gonna be worth that. Hes only 23, he had 24 goals this year and will likely hit 30 in the next 2 years

His shooting percentage was also 15% which won't be sustainable. His career average tends to be around the 9-10% mark which would have had him around 16 goals. he had a good year, but he hasn't shown what his established level of play is yet, certainly not that of a 30 goal scorer. He probably peaks out around 25 goals and 50 points. i am not paying him that contract AND giving up a first for that.

But he will be playing with McDavid so his scoring chances will increase automatically... his shots on goal will increase by being on his wing so even dropping to 10%... he will still likely hit 30 goals... to me.. 6.25 could be a bargain!! But yes the 1st is hard to swallow next year... but maybe their 1st from a couple years out, so maybe its a trade instead of the offer sheet, they are in a whole hurt of trouble..
