I dont think the jets would trade Laine. But say it comes to that, is this a fair deal?

As a jets fan I could get behind that deal. What would the Jets need to add to replace your 2021-1st for the 2020?

Lol!
I would barely give Drouin, Suzuki AND Juulsen for Laine. If you include buying out Kulikov, I would switch Suzuki for a 3rd...no 1st!
For me Laine isn't worth more then two 1st, one 2nd and a 3rd. But nice try wink

Drouin not earning his dough in mtl, probably pout and want out of wpg in no time, so no thanks from a jets fan, Suzuki and brook could be a start to something, since neither have to be protected at expansion draft.

Yea wouldn’t give up near that much for a guy who’s pretty much a ghost half of the season and wants to be paid that much money

i dont agree with comments and remarks about a generational goal scorer like him. hes still young. hes gonna have a ton of 50 goal seasons in the future

i think playing with ehlers and/or schiefle would help him, and getting away from all the media tension would help as well.

Maybe but he also is lazy and horrible defensively so like I said when he’s not scoring he’s a ghost and a liability defensively so he may score 40-50 a year but may cause 25-30 goals by not being in the right spot defensively or not back checking so 8-9 million for a guy who will give you a plus 15-20 in the goals for column is pretty steep

No I’d feel like an idiot giving up a first and Suzuki for a guy who will improve (that I agree with you ) but in like what three years and cost around 8-9 million while waiting for him to improve into a complete player which then will cost even more Suzuki has the potential to be a consistent 70-80 point player in two to three years so you’re technically almost going backwards with this deal in the long run

50 goal scorers dont grow on trees man. just 2 years ago he was being compared to ovi and a few bad years and now he's dumped on? thats ridiculous. this guy is an upper echelon player.

People who compared him to ovi are just talking his shot ovi has always played hard just lacked defensive skill Laine has very little effort
