Why would you hurt the D and make it softer by getting rid of Muzzin ?

Where do you find the money to keep him?

I saw one of the posts earlier where they end up signing both, but they had to trade Nylander away and get a cheaper replacement for him.
I think the front is really strong, but the soft D really bothers me.

defense is definetly the issue in Toronto and it looks like they will have 30M tied up in 3 forwards so doesn't seem like it will get much better going forward.

I would be willing to trade off marner for 2 good players instead. It's not like Toronto is going to be hurting in the front end.

20/21 is the expansion draft year right? if so the Leafs are in great position to protect the majority of their key players. many UFAs will be unprotected, Dubas will have his work cut out for him to re-roster the D or promote within, but I do like Sandin and Lilly decisions.
