Kutcherov 3 x 4,67M at 73M Cap in 2016/2017

Marner 2 x 9,7M....since when did Cap rise and "inflation" went 100% up......

Marner can kiss my , I want him to get an offer sheet now. From what comparable players are signing for he does not deserve a penny more then 9M for 8. Let the clown go to the KHL

Its a matter of market value and Marner wants to get what the market will bare. I understand in a quasi socialist country like Canada it will be hard for most of you to understand the term "free market" but you can look up that term along with capitalism on the internet for further explanation. Just don't use Google as they are anti America. Duckduck go is more honest search engine.
hope that helps

Clearly the market doesn't value him that high or he would have been offersheeted by now. nice try tho. And it's not a free market? Hence the term "restricted free agent" He's "restricted" by rules and such in the CBA and therefor the free market principal doesn't apply here. They're are constraints on the situation which the economically challenged such as your self don't seem to understand,

you miss the point
Marner's decision is based on market value, if it wasn't he would have signed already

He doesn't have a choice. Market value is determined by the market. No team in the "market" is willing to offer him what he thinks he's worth. Just because he thinks he's worth 11 doesn't mean he is. It is quite obvious at this point that there are 0 teams that think he is worth what he wants. It's like if you have a pen and you tell everyone on cap friendly that your pen is worth $100. Well just because you think it's worth $100 doesn't mean it is. Until you find a buyer in the market at your price, the market value is somewhere around 50 cents. Learn basic economics before you come with this "market value" crap. you clearly don't even understand that terminology. What you're describing is perceived worth, not market value.

How is it market value? Marner is asking for more than market value. Also he's a RFA i know it might be hard for you to understand the difference between RFA and UFA so why not look it up next time b4 you make a fool of yourself as you have here

With the previous RFA and UFA signings the market has been set. I can't explain it anymore, you don't get it
I hope for the sake of Leafs fans he does sign under market value at 9

Bro clearly you don't get it. What previous signings? the only comparable that has signed so far is Aho. Don't give me the Panarin crap either, he was a UFA that's not the same, which I have tried to explain but you clearly can't wrap your head around. Answer me one simple question. If Marner is worth 11 or 10.5 or whatever you think, why have 0 of the 31 teams offered him that? Answer me that? BECAUSE HIS "MARKET VALUE" ISN'T THAT.

I can't dumb this down for you anymore. It's like arguing with a 4 year old at this point.

Tell me which teams have the cap space and want to relinquish 4 first round picks? its not what I or you think Marner is worth its what he thinks he is worth. and he is basing that on previous contracts handed out (whether or not they are RFA UFA) Did Marner have a better year than Aho, Kevin Hayes, Jeff Skinner? how about this, if you were Marner what would you ask for? Is he not worthy of the same money as Tavares? or is he not worth at least in the same ballpark as Tavares? The market has gone up, sorry you can't comprehend that. Also, Marner's camp is also probably projecting future market value when determining the length of his next contract. Again put yourself in Marner's shoes

You clearly do not understand how RFA works. IDGAF what Marner wants. Where's his leverage? what is he going to do? Sit out the season and make 0 dollars? go ahead. The point is unless some team is willing to give up 4 first round picks to give him what he wants he is not going to get a penny over 10.5 thats just a fact. Cuz the leafs sure as hell aren't giving him more than that. So if no other team will either what is Marner going to do? what are his options? He either sits out, or takes the Leafs best offer. That's it. He has no other choice. Since you just pointed out no team is giving up 4 1sts for him. Thanks for arguing my point for me ya moron.
