you can pull off that deal for 2 years though.

Assuming Backstrom is re-signed next year and Holtby walks, 2 year term would work fine. They’ll have plenty of cap space in summer of 2021 to extend him if that’s the case.

I think you can pull it off. But if I'm another team I come at you with a 4-5 yr offer sheet for 4,227 mil so it's only 2nd round compensation.
