I agree with some above....I think Barrie is not the type of d-man this team needed....but can't be mad at this deal.

I really liked Kadri too, but dealing from a position of strength to fill the biggest need...at a great price and 50% retained? Great deal for us.

Avalanche are loaded with young D. Probably weren't interested in the # Barrie was looking at on an extension. Kadri is on a great contract himself...so I can see why this makes sense for them too.

I think the leafs should just stop making moves now. They are good. Maybe a play for a cheap goalie with potential like comrie but no more.

Resign ceci 1x4.5. That leaves 11.8 million to resign marner and kerfoot. If aho got 8.45x5, market gets marner 9.5x6 at most. Use the rest to sign kerfoot for 3C or a top 6 role until hyman gets back
