Here are my thoughts. If Kronwall doesn't return, I'd like us to sign Ben Hutton.
Relatively young, good-skating, two-way offensive left handed d-man with potential to line up on the 3rd pair with one of RHD Kaski or Bowey.

Ericcson has health issues, so if we put him on IR and dump Daley, this makes some room for our young guys and a FA signing for depth. Green also has health issues that might clear a path for Kaski.

We're pretty crowded when it comes to forwards but I expect a signing to take place. It's not a sure thing Zadina, Ras, Hirose or Svech will be playing full-time in the NHL, they may start/finish in GR. My thought is we could get a big body veteran presence if big bodies forwards like Ras/Svech don't make the lineup like Corey Perry. I know we hate him, but I feel he would be a good presence and challenge the kids to compete for a spot. and would essentially be next year's Vanek.

I think this strengthens our team while keeping the youth movement alive. Also stays true to our rebuild and saving our cap to sign our top young players in the future.
