In addition Jets are in win now mode, trouba is gone, it appears myers is leaving, someone has to eat those minutes and unless im missing something pionk doesn't step in to trouba or myers role immediately. They need D, and wood despite maybe underperforming given his speed and size does have value. Sure they could pass, but I don't necessarily think they're a better team for it. Moral of the story is it's much closer than you think

Okay when I read the deal it was McLeod, Wood, and 2 3rds. Vatanen, Wood and a 4th is definitely close.
