You do know that Dermott and Hyman are gone till November/December right?
Whose playing there spots till then?

Dont agree with Marner contract.
I do not believe there will be an offer sheet for him, once that happens Dubas will have all the leverage

Yeah this isn't totally accurate, I'm just seeing how tight it will be if the cap will be at 80m

I found your trades to be creative and quite reasonable. Ottawa has proven to be a worthwhile trading partner before, and getting a third seems fair while they fill a roster spot.

While I am confused at how Marner may make >$9.5M, it sounds like thats a real possibility...

Good job!

I don't believe that the Ottawa trade is reasonable at all. Ottawa is cheap, they will not want to pay Marleau's signing bonus just to then turn around and buy him out. Highly doubt that Marleau agrees to this move either.

Good point. Ottawa is cheap, which would make this unlikely. That being said, I don't think Marleau would say no to a deal that would be for a purpose of a buyout so that he can sign with a team of his choice.

Lol no need to debate Marleau any more. Carolina stepped up, took Marleau for a first round pick.
