I honestly think this is a better team then what boston put out in 7 games !!! its deeper, the defence is better!! 4 lines that can contribute... the additions to stay under the cap will produce more than the 94 points Marner put up last year. Iaffalo, Ferland, Tyffolli, Martinez, Stretcher, Girardi, Boyle, are all upgrades from the team that was eliminated in the playoffs, removed outside of Marner are Gardnier, Gauthier, Petan, Brown, Marleau and Zaitzev... Yes, Marner is a 94 point player, tough to replace. I'd like to think that outside of his own skill, having Tavares as a center contributed to his 94 points... may a 70 point player without that, then we are not talking about an 11 million dollar player, we are talking about a 6-7 million dollar player, maybe 8 million tops..
Toronto has to seriously look the possibility of having trade him... or Nylander or Tavares or Matthews.. they can't be better than last year without a rebuilt blueline unless they are willing to wait 3 more years to develop the youth!!!
