If the Jets are looking for a RH 'D' why would they trade for Ristolainen?? D isn't really his thing.

Contrary to popular belief Ristolainen has very good trade value. He has been played as a #1 Dman on the worst team in the NHL. Given a better situation he is going to succeed.

Winnipeg would be stupid to not take that offer. I think that's overpay by Buffalo.

Ristolainen has been playing on the worst team in hockey the past 8 years next to Edmonton. How can you expect him to be successful in such a bad environment? He has boatloads of talent, good size, and a rocket of a shot. He hasn't been given the right scenarios to succeed. The fact that he put up 43 points this season is pretty impressive.

Miller was a healthy scratch a lot of the Stanley cup playoffs, he can't play first pair minutes.

Risto can play the minutes he has been playing on a good team with a good system in place. The trash team he has been on is his downfall. I am NOT comparing the 2 but for instance, Drew Doughty was a horrific -34 this season. Is he terrible or is it the team he plays with??
