Sharks Deal for Kadri for a Prospect Braun and Dell

Créé par: CheechYou
Équipe: 2019-20 Sharks de San Jose
Date de création initiale: 17 juin 2019
Publié: 17 juin 2019
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Kadri fits with the mantra of getting more physical. The deal's a win-win for both teams -- TOR's going to have to spend anyways to fill the top-4 Rdman and veteran backup voids.

Pavelski gets 7mil for 3yrs from another team and you can't blame him for not taking a steep discount. Jumbo takes a flyer for one more year.

Cites trash -- proceeds to talk about impulses for hitting children because of someone disagreeing with him on the internet...

Well naturally. This deal gets in the way of packaging Kadri for Subban (could actually be a thing).

@CheechYou let him have his humor. It's better he take it out here than on actual children, or worse...a defenseless dog. I gotta go now because I am late to buy a house, get a job, and contribute to society because I make humor on CapFriendly. Best of luck to you sir!

- In his short 22-YO season Rourke Chartier didn't improve on his previous season. 22-YO forwards kinds of need to be hitting a point a game at the AHL level to be deemed ahead of the curve and on pace to be a possible top 6 asset. As is he looks like he needs 1-2 years of AHL time to be a solid bottom 6 presence.
-Aaron Dell is a backup goalie and backup goalies are worth at most a 4th round pick.
- Braun: Rated the 96th best RHD by Corsica. Bad to average transition metrics. Bad underlying numbers but has managed to stay afloat with CF% and xGF% somehow.

vs. Kadri

- rated 34th best center
- average to very good transition numbers
- Great underlying metrics (although he did have a bad year).

So to me the answer is quite easy to make. I'd rather have a 2C ready for a bounceback season than a backup I don't need, a prosepct who might never be a bottom 6 player, and a defenseman whose best days are behind him and best suited for 3rd pairing duties.
