The edmonton trade is ok, doubt Van accepts that trade, the rest are just awful for the leafs.

CAR trade is pretty realistic. Leafs are urgently need RD, Canes are lacking active contracts on right wing. They have 4 RDs, if Hamilton is in 1st pair, Van Riemsdyk is 3rd then they still have Pesce and Faulk for 4 mil contract both. Pesce is much more desirable for the leafs but i think canes would keep him over Faulk. Trades with VAN and LAK are all for reducing the cap hit. Clifford and Virtanen are decent 3rd liners.

Leafs will not give up Kapanen for Faulk, who has one year left on his deal, unless something else is coming with Faulk.
