Right, it's nuts. But with LA and OTT eating 50% it's doable. TML can't buyout Marleau. It still ends up saving TML about $4mm this year.

Actually it only postpones the problem from 2019/2020 Season into a next one. 4M spared this year just to be hit by 5,4M + 700k ( lets just say the additional player to fill the roster at League minimum which is again just patching and not helping nor upgrading ) in Season 2020/2021 which is again 6,2M. Is it helping ? Maybe but now with Zaitsev on the way out, we can just add 2nd pick and some prospects to send Marleau out with no return.
