I feel like Carolina says no because common sense

You can add a 2nd rounder if it helps but carolina needs top 6 foward and have depth a the blue line. Seems pretty fair to me...

I have to agree with Frankyhabs on this one. You are asking the Canes to give up the guy who played more minutes than anyone else on their team, led his team in blocked shots, contributed offensively and who is signed to a team-friendly contract in exchange for a talented winger (...I'll grant you that) but a guy who has now played with two organizations, has not lived up to his potential and seems to drop into funks when things aren't going his way. What I often hear about Drouin is "Well, if he had a good centre like McDavid, Crosby or Tavares he'd score more goals" but you could say that of just about any NHL player not currently playing next to an all-star centre. I mean, heck, even I would be good for at least one or two goals per season playing on McDavid's wing!
