6.5 doesn't sound bad at all imo especially when your 1C is a steal

I would have no problem paying him $6.5M, but he's asking for a 7-year term which is extremely risky for a guy who just hit his career high. If we can nab him for that money for FIVE years I'm super down.

I actually don't know that for sure, but something tells me we could... If that were the case, I'd be okay paying him $7M for the first two years, then decline it by $1 million every two years after that or something. I would just want the cap hit to be around 5.5-6 mil so we can continue to sign others and keep his AAV low.

This seems most logical of all the PHI-MIN trades I've seen so far. Although I would prefer a 2020 first rounder cuz I think there's gonna be a lot of good players available at 11 lol. But Minny probably hangs the phone up if that pick isn't involved.
