I really like the idea of Goldobin to EDM. He could probably start the year out in the top 6 and slot in nice with Draisaitl and McJesus on that first line.

You realize that's not how it works right, everyone and their dog is going to be asking ottawa to take on their bad contracts. Ottawa is probably going to want a prospect, a couple of 2nd round picks at least and probabaly a 3rd as well to takeover that contract.

Eriksson gets a big signing bonus on July 1 after that the salary owed home for the next 3 years is much lower than his AAV, not saying the trade will happen and VAN will have to pay more than this to unload him. but he has a much better contract than Lucic. and if Melnyk can get a team that hits the cap with AAV but not in actual salary you know he will lol
