Nylander for Hamilton is a good base....but adding Johnsson and Zaitsev for a #6D and bottom 6 winger?

The title is a tad misleading...

Don't know whether CAR can add $6M in cap when they have to re-sign Aho...

TVR is as good as Zaitsev is. Foegele is young and is going to be as good or better than Johnsson in a matter of years. He was great in playoffs.

Yeah really underrated role players. I think Carolina would actually value them too much to pull the trigger on this deal but it's not a terrible trade offer.

with them having to pay aho I think they try to lose dollars not add them. I can see them selling off faulk for a cheap middle 6 forward, maybe even staal if they can find any takers.

all I can say is good luck, Carolina is not going to take that deal.

Its a fair comment. My thinking was for Carolina to take on the salary increases they would have to get more than they give.

Nylander coming off a down year while Hamilton hada good playoffs. Foegele is good and potentially a selling high moment. Carolina gets a top winger or C in Nylander, a top 6 winger on a good contract and a top 4-ish D or great bottom pair in Zaitsev.

Faulk might be more likely to move but his NMC might be a barrier to that. Hence Hamilton.
