Huge overpay for Zucker and Spurgeon,

This was definitely the hardest trade to debate... unless Chuck's ties with MIN are remarkable, they're gonna want a substantial return for those two guys, especially Spurgeon. Morin is injury prone, and doesn't have the speed needed for the game today (as much as I like him). Voracek gives that incentive to get Spurgeon, as MIN adds that top-6 scoring winger. I'm thinking to change around the picks to make it work.

Leafs pass. As much as they could use Gudas, hes the only usable piece in that deal. Leafs have Woll and Scott in the farm and dont need Sandstrom, and Strome is a AHLer/bottom line guy at best. Leafs have plenty of those with the Marlies.

Not sure you can put the injury prone tag on him at this point. Knee injuries can happen to anyone and he even admitted to probably rushing back. As for speed, that has been one of the positive attributes for him, for a big guy he can move pretty darn well. We'll see if that speed is still there this season. Either the 1st or Morin need to removed from that trade proposal, depending on whichever Fletcher views as more valuable.

That's fair to say, I feel like MIN needs an offer like this in order to be intrigued to do so. Flyers have the pieces to make it happen, and out of all our defensive prospects, I feel like Morin is the person I'd trade first (comparing to Provy, Sanheim, Myers, Friedman, etc.). Hopefully Fletcher can work some magic this offseason!

I proposed almost this exact trade on one of my teams a couple of days ago and had a handful of people tell me it was an underpayment. I think it’s fairly close in value. Minnesota was the best player in the deal plus 11th overall, Philly fills a major hole on their top D pairing and gets a great player in Zucker
