Not a fan of trading romanov. Ratcliffe isn't necessary for the habs (yes it would be cool to have him and suzuki), so why give up romanov to get him when the real target is ghost?

Ratcliffe is a nice throw in to even out the trade, Romanov and Shaw are mostly just to get Ghost.

I think Romanov will end up being between Provorov and Orlov. He would be in the NHL next season if he wasn't under contract in the KHL and had more assurance of his spot in MTL (not sure where I read this but that was a quote from a habs executive).

Who has more trade value? Drouin or Shaw? Trade drouin instead. Ghost went from 65 pts to 37 last year. He was passed by sanheim and provorov in the depth chart, that's lowered his value a lot. Drouin's season was a disappointment, but he still went from 46 pts to 53.

And if you day Ratcliffe is just a throw in, then I don't think you understand the trade you're making. Ratcliffe definitely has value to the philly organization, so removing him from this trade means you dont have to give up Romanov and Shaw, you could give up less.
