Somehow I think rolling out 3 forward lines, 2.5 defensive pairings, and no goalies would be a bad strategy.

Why trade Tyson Barrie? He'll be a pending UFA going into next season, but COL has tons of cap space and they're certainly Cup contenders ready to win now. If anything, Sakic should be looking to further upgrade his defensive depth, not reduce it.
