No way Hagelin deserves 3M rather go for somebody younger like Tanev if thats the price

You really think guy that scored 19 points and was traded around the league like a sack of potatoes this year is worth more then 3M? He has some value in PK and speed but.. those are things teams should be able to find in 1-1.5M 4th liners

You didn’t get the joke. I was referring to Ken Holland heavily overpaying for his veteran players. I personally wouldn’t sign Hagelin for more than 1.5. That’s even pushing it.

Meh, although I personally don't have anything against Hagelin, I also would prefer to see the oilers get someone a little younger. Between 25 to 30 years old. I'd wouldn't mind the Oilers grabbing Tanev, Panik (I think these two will be more affordable/realistic). On a more unrealistic note: it be great to get guys like: Dzingle, Connolly or even anyone NYI don't sign (Eberle, Nelson, Lee). Although I doubt they don't sign them all.

McElhinney would be ok but i would only offer 1 year deal as he is 36 already. If that doesn't attract him, offer sub $2M to another one of the vet backups looking for work. There are alot of them around (Nilsson, Kinkaid, Neuvirth, Elliott, Johnson, etc etc)
