I know this has been brought up a few places.... but has @Paolino (only one ive noticed really) or any other GMS signing players right now been/being notified any of the guys they are signing in ufa and assigning straight to the ahl that they must pass through waivers? That this game does not have 1-way or 2-way contracts...

I don't think anyone had been notified. But it should be assumed. And once final rosters are to be set, we usually set up the waiver thread

correct all players signed in FA should be on the NHL roster as of now until they get send down through the waivers process.

RULES REMINDER
Because I know we have some "new" GMs in the game, thought this would be a good time for a little reminder as it pertains to UFA signings.
Yes teams can sign numerous UFAs provided they have the contract spots to do so, but also remember that when the time comes
ANY players signed that you wish to place in the AHL must first clear waivers before you can send them down.
This also applies to any player unless they are "waivers exempt" in real life.
A reminder was provided a little while ago.
Looks like Hanson was distracted listening to too much "Hanson" MmmBop
Yes it's a small item, but it's a rule that should be enforced and followed.
I would also suggest teams add a section in the description to list all UFA signings and when they can be traded based on the new rules.
That way it's clear and easy to find by ALL other Gms

So, is there still a rule about long-term contracts being traded or is it now just based on AAV?
I'm sorry but I missed making my bids yesterday because the signings from the previous day were posted so late ... did anyone else have the same problem?

tbh there are worse contracts given out in the game ... I probably wasn't going to get him for much less knowing how much people like to pay for UFAs in this game

... the second-highest contract given to Ennis was 925k x 3yrs ...

congrats,
you played yourself
I have a hard time believing that ... and even if it's true, can you blame me for thinking people would be offering him crazy money? That's usually what happens in this game ...

And also, before you call him a 4th liner, look up his stats from this past season.

30 years old, played his best hockey since he was 25 last year. hes maybe a 3rd liner. but he had 10 pp points last year because he played for ottawa. so 27 even strength or shorthanded points. in 70 games... he isnt playing pp for most teams in the league. if i hadnt gotten kassian i woulda gone after ennis but 2m maximum for 2 or 3 years.
I could be 1st line in Ottawa. also id probably put up 20 goals with Mcdavid + Leon.
He was on pace for almost 20 goals the year before, anyway ... I know I overpaid him. I'm not arguing that ... but tbh I thought I'd have to pay him that much to sign him knowing how much teams like to overpay UFAs in this game.
