    No. I don't think Columbus makes that trade because they are trying to shed salary not add more. I also think that is too much to give up for the 4th pick. I would rather keep the 9th pick, Juulsen and the 2nd.

    Agree with F50Marco on both trades. I like Ericsson, but 7 years to be paid as top NHL 10 winger....no thanks. Montreal is gonna have to suck it up and hope...their young guys become good NHLers, Just can't spend your way to the cap and hope it's enough to make the playoffs.

    I realize Ottawa had a couple 6+ player trades but I'm not sure how "realistic" these trades are. Especially with MB at the helm.

    Agree with dgab: MB hasn't made one blockbuster trade in 4 yrs, he likely won't pull 2 in the same offseason. Also: Johnson as Markov's heir? I doubt he can step in as a top pairing D. Getting Hartnell is a good idea.
