Is McDavid really the best? Or is it still Crosby? Or right now, maybe it's Kucherov. Who do you think?

McDavid in everything but defensively where he is good but Crosby and Bergeron are slightly better

I'd say Crosby is the best overall, McDavid is the best offensively, and Kucherov is having the best season.

Mark Stone, Sean Couturier, and Eric Karlsson are too players with Crosby. Posting WAR #s close or above his

McDavid is no doubt the best player on earth, and also probably has the worst supporting cast of forwards in the NHL (other than Draisaitl).

For me it comes down to McDavid and Kucherov. Imagine those 2 on a line though. I know both are more passers than goal scorers but still.

I am saying that they all could have competed for MVP to there teams last year. Those 4 players listed above

Best player in world is McDavid, was a little more "clutch" for me than Kucherov and didn't have Brayden Point as a center.

We reopening this discussion again? I hope by now the general consensus is McDavid. Yes, Crosby is better all-around, but McDavid's offensive abilities put him over any other player in the world.

What about Kucherov?

I love Kucherov, but it's still McDavid for me. Part of it is that McDavid is a center and has more responsibility on top of providing great offense. I'm not going to use the "but Kucherov plays with great players" argument because he's clearly the best out of them all, even if his surroundings help him out a lot. I think McDavid's ability to drive play at 5v5 is what really separates him from anyone else in the league. Kucherov is a better player with established zone time and on the power play, but I'd still take McDavid
