I don't know a lot about Gaudette, but I think Virtanen is exactly the type of player the Wild need. Big, fast, aggressive, physical, right-shot forward. Considering all this, plus his age and contract...I would trade Zucker for him straight up. The cap space alone would have a lot of value for the Wild.

I agree about Myers. If the Wild do move Spurgeon (which they should), Myers would be a very nice replacement. I wish he was more physical, but he does check a lot of other boxes the Wild need.

Vancouver is a rebuilding team. Gaudette is certainly part of the plan and Virtanen is still developing. Adding a 2019 potential top 10 pick (top 5 protected) with the draft in Vancouver makes no sense for this team.

The offer may be fair value for Spurgeon and Zucker, but not from Vancouver.
