Really?
Draisaitl at 21: 82, 29-48-77 +7, and in the playoffs: 13, 6-10-16 +8
Matthews at 21: 55, 31-30-61 -3 (so far, on pace for 68, 38-37-75 -4)
Matthews was clearly a better goal scorer than 21-year-old Draisaitl, but to say he's the better player "and it's not close" isn't true.

You proved it with the stats
If youre going to put what matthews is on pace for, might as well make it 82 for comparative purposes .
Draisaitl at 21: 82, 29-48-77 +7,
Matthews at 21: 82 prorated 46-44-90 -4
At age 21 matthews is a much better player than drai at 21.That is not a debate, and the gap widens even more once you adjust for TOI / linemates.
Right now it is close, but matthews is still better with 3.634 P/60 vs Drai at 3.442 P/60, but like i said age matters, as players tend to start their peak around 23-24. Drai fits in much better with pasta class wise than matthews.
