Im looking at this objectively: Gardiner and Brown are definately gone next season. If Marner does sign for 12 million, it will be a 5 year deal. I think they can get him for 10.5 million on a bridge deal for a year when their cap situation improves. They could sign Johnsson/Kapanen to two year deals, each worth 3-3.5 million per. If those are the three contracts, Hyman might be on his way out as well. The Leafs have a great problem on their forward lines: they have lots of depth (Bracco, Moore, and Timashov to fill spots on an already crowded roster). Maybe Kadri gets moved for a cheap top 4 dman and Nylander is their permanent centre. Maybe Zaitsev gets traded but the Leafs will probably have to retain a million plus. They dont have depth on the blueline to lose a Zaitsev, so I think Hyman/Brown/Kadri could be on the move this summer.
