Description

In this trade, MTL is getting the potential all-star player they always wanted. EDM is getting rid of TWO awfull contracts while receiving one of the best goalie prospect in the league (a potential Hobey Baker winner this year in the NCAA) and a great first in a very deep draft. And don't forget Tatar who might reach 60 pts this year and on a cheap contract for 2 more years.

Another option would be to remove Tatar and Russel while adding Suzuki. I'd be willing to do this as well

Switch Sekera for Russel and add a depth forward I think you have a deal. Sekera could play with Weber and actually help you more than Russel.

I think Oilers could trade Russel else where if needed. Most people would hate trading this year's 1st but I think it would be worth it opening 11.5M. especially when we need to add some top 6 wingers

But, it still 4 millions less on your team. With Bouchard coming up next year, I think the need for a guy like Russel is less important

I just like the flexibility of Russell. Sekera plays a higher end game and can move the Puck better. He has looked good coming back from injury.

I'd like to see Bouchard tear up the AHL prior to being given an NHL spot.

I think that works as well. Again would want to sub Sekera for Russel.
