Wow if you look at what Columbus has left with if comes to draft picks... They better win man. And hopefully resign all the big names.
I think they realize their odds will only decrease if they lose Bob and Bread, so they either make enough noise now to convince people too stick around, or they spend the next couple years retooling.
Is Columbus going all-in? They can't sign Panarin, Bobrovsky, Duchene, AND Dzingel. Very low chance that happens. Ottawa gets a good return for Dzingel though.
Do they try and trade Panarin now to recoup their picks and stick it out with Dzingel & Duchene that might be more likely to re-sign? Or do they stick with all these UFAs and hope for the best in the playoffs.
unsure who won. Ottawa doesnt start getting paid until 2020. the bonus is Duclair is rental at 650k. Similar ppg as w Nylander. Dzingle already starts paying off, which promotes Columbus. I get ya Dorion.
Ottawa still only has 7 picks and 1 first rounder in the 2019 draft ....
And if they tried to trade all 7 to Colorado for their 1st overall back .... Colorado would say no.
This is after trading away Karlsson, Duchene, Hoffman, Zibanejad, Dzingel, Brassard, Turris, Phaneuf, Chiasson, Bowers, Wideman, Bergman, Dahlen and Lazar.

it's okay this next year n allow me to explain: they've selected previous defence besides Chabot, Lajoie, et others, they've selected forwards from around the leagues, if they only use their 1 first round and 2 second rounds, they'll be ahead of some other clubs rebuilds with half their payroll immediately avail. 7 in 019; 8 in 020 - 3 r 1st rounds; 9 in 2021;
I say fair deal! I consider Zuccarello and Dzingel very similar players with pretty close to same value and it shows in the Zuccarello and Dzingel trades that were made today!
It’ll be funny if they get bounced in the 1st round. The Metro is no joke
I don't think they will. I think the only team that can give them a run is the Islanders at this point. I don't think either washington, Pittsburgh, or Carolina is going to beat them.
It's just too much talent and speed on there. On top of it, they all know its now or never time to sell out. This might be the best chance anyone of them will ever have to win a cup.
I don't see the Atlantic matching up well with them. TB and Toronto just aren't physical enough and Boston only has one line that can do anything.
They get by NYI, and they play for a cup. That's just my prediction.

Caps are more talented and physical than nyi imo. And bob doesn’t always preform well. Caps added Jensen which makes us way better rhd was weak

They'll likely only have two 1st rounders in 2020 (how likely is Duchene to re-sign in Columbus? He wants to be a UFA) They'll likely be missing another 2nd rounder in 2021 (unless Karlsson re-signs in SJS)
