Really love the Nashville Trade even including Hartman cheap reliable that can play well on the the 3rd line like Foligno does.
Love the New Jersey Trade McLeod brings a lot to the table that we need in center.
Also really like the Edmonton Trade even taking on Spooners Contract And Puljujarvi could get a fresh start here in Minnesota if we play him in the Minors with Tolvanen
You could probably get a 1st for Staal but if no team gives a 1st round Pick I would take it.
As for the Tampa Trade really Love Cal Foote he’s big body Defenseman that we really need he can also lay the body I think Callahan would wavie his No movement trade clause because his family is in Rochester New York

Also, like the NJD trade. I would like Brodin brought in and personally am not a fan of McLeod.

I agree with all of that! Callahan has said he and his agent know that Tampa will likely buy him out this season so this gives him an opportunity to "choose his destiny". He might not waive, but who knows.

A top 4 D of Suter, Dumba, Nurse, and Foote would be so tough to play against (assuming Foote grows into a top 4 player).

I like the idea of taking on bad contracts to fill roster spots during the rebuild. That's the reason I have made a couple of trades for Backes recently. IF the Wild do invest in a complete rebuild, I would be looking for a lot of bad contracts to take on in order to get picks and prospects.
The only trade that concerns me here is the Devils one. I have read about McLeod's lack of hockey IQ. Maybe he pans out as a big, fast 3rd line wing...and that might be OK, but I would insist on the Devils' own 2nd rounder in this deal. Brodin is a very good d-man and underrated across the league for how good he is defensively. I also believe he has under-utilized offensive ability. He has a much better shot than most people realize and I think he can play the PP more.
Anyways...I like your philosophy here...and hope Fenton is smart enough to start making deals like these...

Crap I meant to use the Devil's 2nd, not the Nashville 2nd, I'll fix it. Mcleod has been producing pretty well on an awful Binghamton (he's 2nd in points) in his rookie year. There are some concerns with his IQ but he's got the compete, speed, and very good hands. He's basically the anti-Rask to me: has all the skills with lower IQ (where Rask has all the IQ but no skills). His floor probably is a 3rd liner but his ceiling could be higher. I think if you put him on a good team like Iowa and he could reach his potential.
