Kempny will be fine. He was probably our best player during that stretch where the Caps sucked. He'll come back around.

i hope so but he's done this all year pretty much. Bura is pretty good now, hope he can keep it up too. Tired of kemps penalties and mistakes

If Monty does get moved it'll be for forward help, especially if Silf gets moved, which I think is all but guaranteed at this point

I don't like the amount of Stick penalties he takes, but he's still a valuable asset when he's on his game. I'd say wait another year or two to deal him then we can call up Seigenthaler or Johansen because I don't like the term on his deal.

haha wtf are you talking about? kempny is the capitals best defensive dman. hes top 10 in plus minus and hes signed for an amazing contract. hes had like 2 -3 plays that looked bad but I can count 100s of plays that the other men screw up as well....leave kempny alone get the type of player that wins us cups

hes had a few bad plays but I def an not trading a very solid bottom 4 dman who's signed to an amazing term and plays well with Carlson.....look how well Carlson is playing when hes not carrying Alzner type player. he has 50 points right now

Montour has three more even strength points than Kempny this year. Kempny's +/- is better by 36. If I had to guess who makes more mistakes on defense, I'm not sure, but he probably doesn't speak much Czech.



Everybody remembers that Burakovsky, after the Blue Jackets broke his wrist last Spring, somehow pulled off six points in six games to finish the playoffs, but then started this season off with just three points in his first twenty games. Right now he has seven in his last dozen. He's 306 days younger than Montour, with over twice as many career NHL points. Would they be fair one-for-one? Or who adds what?

You are clearly forgetting about Brooks Orpik

This trade might be fair in terms of the actual value, but it doesn’t seem to fit either team’s needs. Caps do need defensive help but not at the expense of a current top 4 D, future potential top 4 D, and a 1st.

tbh what orpik lacks in skill he makes up in physical play......I want djoo to gain 20 lbs over summer......but yeah kemp imo is great. hes cheap and can play anywhere in the line up
