Sergachev went from top 4 LD behind Hedman to bottom RD because Coach Cooper stopped trusting him after he went after a coach , took a stupid penalty and cost TBL the game . About 6 weeks after that TBL gave up a kings ransom that made the price for Sergachev look small so they could get Mcdonugh in their top 4 LD behind Hedman until 2025 as Sergachev is becoming a UFA .

TBL brought in Sergachev because they thought he was top LD material today but his piss poor attitude and selfish play forced his team to plan around him for the next 6 years . . . .

Still Glad Sergachev's gone and i was the Very first person on twitter to Congratulate him on becoming a Habs but the more i say the more i disliked his selfish style of play
Any hockey fan with a lick of hockey IQ knows all about how bad Sergachev screwed his career as there's no chance Mcdonugh or Hedman waive their NMC so Sergachev's out of the equation long term.

besides without trading sergachev its unlikely we'd have found Romanov as we were looking so hard for a LD that we took Romanov who scouts projected as a 5th round pick in the 2nd . if we had Sergachev it woulda been another year of drafting all Centers trying to fill the hole Saku Koivu left when he departed .

Romanov is a 3rd generation Russian Legacy Player and a Standout all around as an 18 year old at the Pro level on one of the KHL's top teams to taking tournament MVP at the world juniors and leading all D in assists and points . unlike Sergachev he has no attitude because his grandfather is the for GM and current coach of last years KHL champs and instilled a professional attitude in him beyond his years .


Romanov is so good we'll be saying Sergachev who in 5 years as he's still playing bottom pair behind Mcdonugh and Hedman in Tampa :P
