I'm not to sure what Boston will do at the deadline. I think they might be smarter to have a quiet deadline, and see if one of Donato or Cellery can make it in the top 6, only Simmonds makes any sense for Boston to have an actual impact on the team as rental.

Sure Brassard is a good player, but I cant see him bringing anything of benefit to the line-up other than another forward to mix in and not help the top 6.

That's pretty expensive for Brassard. It's atleast the value of a 2nd and 3rd. I wouldn't personally spend that much on a pure rental this season except for 1 guy; Mark Stone. He's really the only difference maker that I see having a big enough impact to push the Bruins an extra round deeper in the playoffs. I think no matter if the Bruins were going to win or lose in the first round Derick Brassard wouldn't change the outcome. If they were already good enough to win you didn't need him and if they weren't good enough to win he doesn't put you over the top..... I don't give up those players for that because it doesn't make sense.
