Bob Nicholson said the Oilers are totally unwilling to part with Jesse Puljujarvi.

Pretty difficult just to exchange $$$$ for picks. Usually money has to be returned. But why would Montreal do this? Three good regulars for futures? Seems like a way to weaken the team, though picks and prospects are an iffy long term gamble.

Habs have no interest in that Petry trade. Puljijarvi hasn't looked good this year whatsoever. They should just take back picks and draft with them, Atleast they know what they are getting,

Other trades look fine.

nope , its why they are delaying on hiring a GM possibly until the summer because they dont want someone to come in and ''totally try to do anything ''

Ron Hextal would i'm sure and unlike Chirelli , Ron won 85-90% of the trades he made but could never find that starting Goalie PHI has needed since Ron retired as a player. (had hextal found a Dubnyk i think he'd still be in PHI)

Ron's a 3rd generation hockey player with deep roots in Sask. and Manitoba so taking the job in EDM allows him to work from his hometown if he so chooses . He gave everything he had in LAK and PHI leaving both teams better after leaving so he just seems like the logical choice

Steve Yzerman is another Possibility as the BC native could be lured back North of the Boarder as Mcdavid is a strong motivating factor

yah i guess Hexstall, not a oilers fan but geezh they in a bit of a bind, and if you look at the moves they made with Chiarelli its cringe worthy. what the guy did with boston was terrible but the oilers was 10x as bad. best of luck
