Kubalik was never going to sign with the Kings. He made that apparent which is why Blake traded him. In the end, Blake sent the pick and Nate Thompson to the Habs for the 119th overall and selected Kim Nousiainen. He looks like a decent prospect. Hard to know how players numbers will translate from europe to the NHL. Kubalik's obviously translated really well.

Started hearing his name a few years ago and just assumed he was a high draft pick of the Hawks. Crazy seeing a guy debut with a 30 goal season 6 years after being drafted.
